I inherited this Nikon years ago. Its previous owner either thought it was dead, or just couldn't be bothered with film cameras anymore ... He wanted to go digital. I mean, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with digital technology, but since I am not too fond of Photoshop enhancement for photographs, I can at least be sure that Black & White photography is going print marvelously, shot with this old school camera.
A flâneur is a detached pedestrian observer of a metropolis, a “gentleman stroller of city streets”
The term flâneur (or jetter) comes from the French verb flâner, which means "to stroll". A flâneur is thus a person who walks the city in order to experience it. Because of the term's usage and theorization by Charles Beaudelaire and numerous thinkers in economic, cultural, literary and historical fields, the idea of the flâneur has accumulated significant meaning as a referent for understanding urban phenomena and modernity.
